IMAC Technician

Our client has a new opportunity for a qualified IMAC Technician to join their team onsite in Winnipeg, MB. The Technician is responsible for performing onsite IT equipment Install, Move, Add, and Change (IMAC) activities while ensuring equipment is installed, configured, tracked, and ready for customer use.

• Perform installation, relocation, replacement, and removal of desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and related IT equipment
• Set up workstations, including basic cabling, connectivity, labeling, and equipment placement
• Follow assigned work orders and complete IMAC activities within required timelines and service levels
• Verify equipment and asset information and ensure assets are properly assigned and tracked
• Perform basic hardware and connectivity checks and escalates technical issues when required
• Update tickets, work orders, and asset records accurately upon completion of each task
• Coordinate with the IMAC Coordinator regarding schedules, priorities, equipment requirements, and outstanding issues
• Follow customer procedures for equipment handling, security, safety, and onsite access
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure removed equipment is properly handled or staged for return
• Provide professional and courteous support to end users and customer representatives
• Communicate any delays, missing equipment, access issues, or other concerns that may impact completion
• Support inventory reconciliation and other asset-related activities as required

• Minimum 1 to 3+ years of experience in desktop support, field services, IMAC, deployment, or IT hardware support
• Hands-on experience installing and moving IT equipment and workstations
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a field services team
• Good customer service and communication skills
