Become a hands-on Desktop Technician with Compucom Staffing in Portage La Prairie, MB. Support a large-scale technology refresh project while providing essential deskside assistance and hardware services.
In this onsite role, you will manage imaging, preparation, deployment, and support of laptops and desktop computers. Your experience with hardware troubleshooting and excellent communication skills will be put to use as you work closely with project and Field Service teams. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow established deployment procedures while maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Image and configure computers for deployment
• Install and deploy laptops and peripherals
• Provide deskside technical support to users
• Perform hardware troubleshooting and repairs
• Communicate effectively with project teams and users
Requirements:
• Prior deskside technical support experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS
• Experience in hardware break/fix and repair
• Ability to work onsite and move IT equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
