Azure Platform – DevOps Architect

Job Description:

• Design, build and run Lode Star’s Azure infrastructure using Terraform or similar, with separate development, test and production environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Git Hub Actions and Jenkins, including automated testing, approval gates and rollback
• Run PostgreSQL in production, including backups, regular restore testing and performance tuning
• Monitor availability and performance, lead incident response, and define and report on service level objectives
• Secure the platform with Entra , least-privilege access, Key Vault and private networking
• Manage infrastructure behind Lode Star’s AI services, including model API access, usage and cost
• Administer Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket, including access, permissions, single sign-on, licensing, apps, upgrades and backups
• Improve Jira workflows, automation, dashboards and reporting with engineering, project management and operations teams
• Keep Confluence organized with clear space structure, templates and permissions
• Set and support Dev Ops standards across Fidus, including source control, branching and CI/CD practices
• Contribute to IT activities including change management, security reviews and shared on-call
• Work closely with Lode Star build and product leads and engineering teams across Fidus Requirements:
• 5+ years in platform engineering, Dev Ops or site reliability engineering, including at least 2 years supporting production workloads on Azure
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Git Hub Actions and Jenkins
• Experience working with containers, including Docker, Azure Container Apps or AKS
• Experience administering Jira and Confluence, including workflow design, automation and permissions
• Production experience with PostgreSQL or a similar relational database
• Solid Linux administration and networking skills, including hybrid on-premise and cloud environments
• Working knowledge of cloud security and identity management
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash
• Experience with on-call support and incident management
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Candidates must be eligible for Fidus’s export-control screening and, in Canada, a Controlled Goods Program security assessment
