POSITION:
Claims Examiner – Specialty Lines (Hybrid)

LOCATION:

Ontario

• The Claims Examiner will handle all types of claim assignments, including files in litigation. Our products include Professional Lines, Environmental/Pollution, Construction, Specialty Commercial Programs, Specialty Personal Linesand Marine.
• Examine first party andthird-partyclaims
• Review reports from adjusters,expert sand lawyers
• Analyze and review coverages and policy wordings,and make appropriate recommendations
• Report to various Underwriters ona timely basis

• Aminimum5years’claimsexaminingor adjustingexperience
• Involvementwithspecialty linesa plus
• Experience in handling claim files involved in litigation
• Strong understanding and ability to interpret policy wordings
• The ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure
• Excellent investigation, analytical and negotiation skills
• Strong customer service focus,verbaland written communication skills
• Knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office applications
• University or College education is preferred
• CIP or currently enrolled in institute courses to obtain CIPpreferred
• Independent adjuster’s license, or eligible

Based on qualifications of applicant pay grade may vary from $75,000 – $110,000
