This position focuses on enhancing Wawanesa’s strategy for its commercial mid-market segment. Collaborating closely with the Director of Underwriting Operations, you’ll develop critical underwriting tools and strategies while supporting large accounts and technical leadership within teams.
Your role also includes evaluating performance metrics and implementing growth tactics to ensure a member-centric approach in all market interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for underwriting standards and tools
• Serve as a technical expert for portfolio reviews
• Provide coaching to improve underwriting practices
• Collaborate on product development for market demands
• Monitor portfolio performance metrics for strategic insights
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years in commercial insurance underwriting
• Degree in Business or relevant field required
• Comprehensive knowledge of mid-market business environments
• Proven success in balancing portfolio health and risks
• Bilingualism in English and French preferred
