The Technical Consultant ensures customer success by delivering exceptional outcome‑based services in support and enablement of the customer's business goals. They apply best practices, technical knowledge, and industry expertise to serve our strategic customers and broader AVEVA customer base. The role helps shape customers’ vision of how AVEVA software supports and enhances business drivers and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead workshops and coaching sessions to guide the customer in using AVEVA solutions to realize their use cases.
- Act as a technical liaison to assigned customer accounts, collaborating with Customer Success Managers to maximize customer value and drive new business.
- Lead strategic conversations with customers to guide them through use case discovery and position AVEVA products and infrastructure to address those needs.
- Lead conversations to help focus on the vision where AVEVA solutions add business value, at all customer levels, including Administration/IT Staff, Operations Management, and C‑level executives.
- Display initiative and self‑motivation to deliver high quality results while meeting all expectations for both internal and external customers.
- Influence and drive adoption of AVEVA solutions through product demonstration, Proof of Value, and other promotional activities.
- Assist with risk‑vs‑benefit analysis to help the customer understand the ramifications of various deployment options.
- Proactively engage Enterprise Customers to promote enterprise‑wide adoption and implementation.
- Mentor other team members on industry, product, and/or technology topics.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or another technical field.
- 5+ years of experience with real‑time operational data systems within industrial manufacturing and/or operating industry.
- Hands‑on AVEVA solutions experience, highly desired.
- Robust leadership, customer service, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Solid oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve problems and share best practices.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple activities.
- Experience working with C‑level executives, a plus.
- A background in architectures and enterprise‑wide design methodologies, a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
