Position: Hitachi Rail Tactical Buyer Role
Join Hitachi Rail as a Tactical Buyer in Toronto, Ontario, and help optimize purchasing processes. This hybrid role focuses on efficient procurement and compliance within the supply chain.

As a Tactical Buyer, you will play a key role in executing and managing purchasing activities for select commodities. Your responsibilities include using ERP systems for updates, managing supplier relations for timely payments, and analyzing past purchase orders. Collaborating with Accounts Payable and mentoring new buyers will also be part of your routine, ensuring adherence to purchasing policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing activities for assigned goods

• Collaborate with suppliers for order closure

• Analyze and report on past-due purchase orders

• Validate requisitions for correct details prior to purchasing

• Justify purchase decisions and secure approvals

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years experience in supply chain

• Education in business, operations, or materials management

• Proficient English communication skills

• SAP experience is preferred
