In this pivotal position, you will take charge of key building material categories, ensuring stores are well-stocked and competitively priced. Your analytical skills will guide your sourcing decisions while you develop strategies to improve inventory performance. Engage with multiple stakeholders and leverage your expertise to enhance business profitability while managing a complex, regional operation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain strong in-stock positions for building materials
• Determine optimal sourcing based on lead times and pricing
• Manage inventory goals through timely purchasing
• Build and maintain vendor relationships for competitive pricing
• Travel within the region to support store operations
Requirements:
• Proven skills in negotiation and vendor management
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in inventory purchasing is preferred
• Knowledge of the building supply industry is a plus
