MRO Buyer – 14-Month Term

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the MRO Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) items to ensure the smooth operation of Mac Don’s facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities   Diligently processes Purchase Orders for all maintenance requests andsendinatimelymannertomaintainon-timedeliverytointernal Mac Don customers.
Maintainssupplieracknowledgementsandconfirmssupply.
Workcloselywiththemaintenancedepartment,providing timely service to requirements.
Managecontractsandaccountsrelatedtomaintenanceservices.
Highlightsandelevatesanysupplyrisksto Procurement Specialistor  Supply Chain Manager.
Develop and maintain excellent vendor partnerships, conduct regularmeetingswithvendorstostrengthenrelationshipsandhave them performing to required standards.
Workwith Supplier and Maintenanceonvalidatingandapproving  any alternate material/product prior to implementation.
Obtaincostsavingsthroughtrackingandidentificationof opportunities.
Workwith Accountingtoresolveanyinvoicediscrepancies.

Review, validate and approve MRO related invoices (within approved thresholds).
Otherdutiesasassignedbythe Manager.
Qualifications  Education  Post-secondaryeducationandsupplychaintraining preferred.
Skills & Experience   Twoyears Manufacturing and/or Procurement experience.
WorkingknowledgeofMRP
Contract Managementexperiencepreferred.
Word,Exceland Outlookknowledgeessential.
Candidateshouldbeaninnovativeself-starterandbe able to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team.
Excellentorganizationalandtimemanagementskills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
