The Role

With safety as the top priority, the Operations & Field Service Technician ensures reliable product delivery and high‑performance dispensing equipment at customer locations across Manitoba. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where independence, technical aptitude, and professionalism are essential.

Product Delivery to Customers
  • Prepare and deliver Chryso and Interstar products dispatched from the Winnipeg warehouse
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment in both the warehouse and delivery truck
  • Deliver products directly to customer storage units
Installation, Maintenance & Repair
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair admixture dispensing equipment, including preventative and emergency service
  • Review and interpret performance reports to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Act as the local liaison and first point of technical support for customers
Planning & Scheduling of Dispenser Service Work
  • Self‑dispatch, independently diagnosing needs and planning daily/weekly service schedules
  • Interact with internal and external customers daily—requiring strong organizational, planning, customer‑service, and project‑management skills
  • Remain on call as needed to respond to urgent service requests and provide on‑site troubleshooting
Customer Relations
  • Support Field Sales Representatives in winning and maintaining customer relationships
  • Build trust and credibility with plant personnel and operators
  • Demonstrate professionalism and understand the role of customer satisfaction in business success
What The Job Really Looks Like
  • Daily interaction with plant managers, batch operators, truck drivers, and maintenance teams
  • Approximately 50% of time spent independently at customer sites as the sole representative
  • Flexible work schedule required — including very early mornings, late evenings, or occasional overnight visits based on plant operations
What You Bring
  • 2+ years equivalent experience or other mechanical/engineering training coupled with customer service
  • Must have sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to represent the company with customers in a professional manner.
  • Valid driver’s license; able to operate car, truck, and forklift
  • Broad technical aptitude (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, 12/24‑volt electrical, basic computer configuration)
  • Hands‑on electro‑mechanical ability; confident using hand/power tools and diagnostic meters
  • Quick learner with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication abilities
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable with documentation
  • Strong customer‑service and relationship‑building skills
  • Field‑service experience preferred; ready‑mix industry knowledge an asset
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and work safely in industrial environments
  • Able to wear a respirator and comply with facial‑hair policy
  • Flexibility for variable hours, overnights, and short‑notice service calls
