Pool Maintenance Supervisor

City of Steinbach – Steinbach, MB – Full-time position (some weekend and evening shifts) at the Steinbach Aquatic Centre.

• Provides supervision, training, & mentorship to Pool Maintenance staff
• Ensures water chemistry in all pools meets or exceeds industry standards and legislation
• Ensures water samples are regularly submitted for testing; communicates with the Public Health Inspector
• Performs regular inspections and maintenance of building & mechanical equipment, pool tanks, sauna, slides, diving boards, and change rooms
• Performs regular cleaning procedures in all pools
• Ensures and assists with facility site cleanup and snow clearing
• Schedules Pool Maintenance staff
• Assists in Pool Maintenance staff reviews, hiring, and terminations

• 5th Class Power Engineer preferred or the ability to obtain
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate
• Mechanical aptitude
• Physically capable of repetitive lifting
