As a Maintenance Assistant reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will perform essential tasks in maintenance and repair for our retirement residences. Your responsibilities will encompass electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment upkeep, while also ensuring the safety of our residents through regular inspections. Your commitment to superior customer service and adherence to safety protocols are paramount in this fulfilling role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute routine repairs across electrical and plumbing systems

• Paint and perform minor carpentry work as needed

• Inspect premises for maintenance and safety compliance

• Follow safety policies and established facility procedures

• Support housekeeping duties alongside maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• Competence in following oral and written instructions

• Ability to self-regulate and work independently

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs

• Capability to manage budgets and track costs

• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
