You may have worked as an apprentice or mechanic, or building furniture or equipment. You are curious, friendly, and empathetic, finding satisfaction in solving problems and helping others. You are comfortable using and working with manual and power tools.

The roleWe are adding a compassionate and knowledgeable Technician to our team in British Columbia. You will be trained on the tools you will be working with and the equipment you will be repairing, work directly with clients to understand the issues with their equipment, troubleshoot to solve the problem, and travel to different sites – both private residences and community facilities – to accommodate client needs.

- Diagnose and repair wheelchairs and custom mobility equipment; learn to navigate our software system; assess issues with manual and power devices, troubleshoot batteries and functionality, and repair equipment.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience, prioritizing an empathic, respectful, and friendly approach to ensure clients’ needs are met.
- Be flexible and mobile: work 8‑hour shifts and travel to clients’ homes and community facilities, adapting your schedule to meet the changing needs of clients.
- Technical skills
: previous experience in customer service and assembling or repairing equipment; exposure to diagnostic tools and power equipment; genuine enjoyment of learning new tools and approaches. - Empathy
: navigate any situation in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner; prioritize the comfort and urgency of clients; manage conflict and act with responsive patience. - Additional must‑have requirements
: a valid G‑class driver’s license and a clean driving record; clean criminal background check and bondable; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Fair and attractive compensation ranging from $20.90 to $31.40 per hour, depending on skills, experience and geographic location.
