Become a Temporary Assistant Caretaker with Pembina Trails School Division in Winnipeg. This role focuses on cleaning and maintaining the school's physical facilities during evening shifts.
The Assistant Caretaker works under the Head Caretaker, responsible for routine cleaning and safety of school facilities. Candidates should be comfortable with institutional cleaning methods and possess the ability to engage positively with students and staff. Be prepared for both day and evening shifts during breaks, ensuring a clean and secure environment.
Responsibilities- Clean various areas including classrooms and washrooms
- Ensure all custodial equipment is maintained properly
- Dispose of waste following local regulations
- Provide directions to replacement staff as needed
- Report urgent issues to the Head Caretaker
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Desired experience in institutional custodial work
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to carry weights of up to 20kg
- Availability for adaptable shift times
