School Caretaker

Position: Pembina Trails School Caretaker Role
Join Pembina Trails School Division as a Temporary Assistant Caretaker in Winnipeg. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining the school's facilities through effective cleaning, especially during evening shifts.

As an Assistant Caretaker, you will work closely with the Head Caretaker to ensure that the school remains a clean and safe space for everyone. You will engage with students and staff while tackling various custodial tasks throughout the school. This role requires readiness for both daytime and evening shifts depending on school schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute cleaning tasks in classrooms and washrooms

• Ensure custodial equipment is well maintained

• Follow local regulations for waste disposal

• Provide guidance to temporary staff as required

• Report any urgent issues to the Head Caretaker

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of Grade 12 education

• Previous experience in custodial roles is preferred

• Proven communication skills in English

• Capacity to lift up to 20kg as necessary

• Availability for variable shift timings
