In this temporary position, the Light Equipment Operator will be an integral part of the public works team, focusing on operating light equipment for various municipal repairs and maintenance needs. You will handle tasks related to infrastructure, including snow removal and maintaining green spaces, alongside equipment pre-trip checks and servicing. Your attention to detail and operational skills will help maintain the city's facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate light machinery for infrastructure repairs and maintenance
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintenance checks on equipment
• Notify management of safety and maintenance concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and perform minor servicing on machinery
• Undertake other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 or G Driver’s License
• Required Skid Steer Certification
• Proven operational skills with various light equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
