Position: Maintenance Worker at Southern Health-Santé Sud

Enhance facility operations as a Maintenance Worker with Southern Health-Santé Sud. This role focuses on system monitoring and preventative maintenance across a diverse set of tasks.

As a Maintenance Worker 1, you will report to the Lead - Physical Plant Services and support building systems. With at least two years of relevant maintenance experience, you’ll engage in hands-on tasks like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work along with some demanding on-call duties. Your initiative and judgment are crucial in prioritizing maintenance tasks and ensuring compliance with safety codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to facility work orders

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment

• Operate various building systems efficiently

• Interpret blueprints and equipment manuals

• Maintain professional working relationships across teams

Requirements:

• Minimum two years' maintenance experience

• Knowledge of mechanical and yard care equipment

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work call shifts and travel if needed

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required
