Utility Person

Position: Utility Person Role at New Flyer
Join New Flyer as a Utility Person, playing a crucial role in maintaining plant cleanliness and operational standards. This position offers hands-on responsibilities and emphasizes safety.

As part of New Flyer, North America's transit bus leader, you will help maintain the cleanliness of various facilities and equipment safety. Your duties range from waste management to operational tasks with equipment. Success in this role requires both teamwork and the ability to operate independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain lunchrooms, offices, and restrooms

• Collect and dispose of hazardous materials properly

• Maintain garbage bins throughout the facility

• Operate a forklift while adhering to safety guidelines

• Conduct daily 5S operations for organization

Requirements:

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work without close supervision

• Experience with forklifts is preferred

• Comfortable working with a sweeper

• Understanding of radio/page systems is advantageous
