Head Caretaker

Position: Head Caretaker at Pembina Trails
Lead facility management as the Head Caretaker for Pembina Trails School Division in Winnipeg. This role focuses on maintenance, cleanliness, and staff direction within a supportive environment.

As a Head Caretaker, you will oversee the daily operations of the school’s physical facilities while guiding the caretaking staff effectively. Your leadership will ensure safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of the building, along with timely communication with the Operations Supervisor and Principal. You will make a significant impact on the school community through your organized and proactive management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support caretaking staff effectively.

• Inspect facilities for cleanliness and safety compliance.

• Communicate regularly with the Principal and Operations Supervisor.

• Perform general maintenance and repairs as needed.

• Ensure all custodial equipment is maintained and functional.

Requirements:

• Minimum education of Grade 12 or equivalent.

• Valid 5th Class Power Engineers’ Certificate desirable.

• Two years of experience in building operations preferred.

• Strong leadership and communication skills required.

• Ability to lift 20kg and monitor maintenance tasks.
