Join Extendicare's team as a Housekeeping Aide, where you will maintain a safe and sanitized environment in our long-term care home. This position offers flexible shift options including full-time, part-time, and casual.
As a vital member of the housekeeping team, you'll ensure the cleanliness and safety of residents and staff.
Your role will include using approved cleaning products, collaborating with other departments, and participating in training sessions. Following established policies for infection prevention and safety will be essential in your daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and disinfect resident and staff areas
• Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines
• Transfer residents and assist in equipment handling
• Attend staff meetings for continuous improvement
• Manage supplies for cleanliness and safety
Requirements:
• Physically capable of heavy lifting and other tasks
• Strong commitment to safety practices
• Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Experience with quality assurance measures
• Openness to ongoing learning opportunities
