Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager of Maintenance & Facilities, the Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance and facilities team to ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of manufacturing equipment, utilities, and building systems. The Supervisor coordinates preventive maintenance, repairs, calibration activities, contractor work, and facility improvements while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), health and safety requirements, and company policies.

This role provides leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to maintenance personnel and works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Validation, and other departments to minimize equipment downtime and support operational excellence.

The successful applicant may be required to work weekends based on operational needs and may participate in a rotational schedule with the day shift supervisor. This position will work primarily on the evening shift, providing supervision and support to evening and night shift union employees.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities for this position:
  • Supervise the daily activities of the Maintenance & Facilities team, including scheduling of work assignments, prioritizing maintenance requests, monitoring attendance, approving time off, and providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Assign and monitor corrective maintenance activities, ensuring equipment breakdowns are responded to promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are properly documented within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support equipment qualification, validation, calibration, and requalification activities in collaboration with Validation and Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with GMP requirements, safety regulations, SOPs, and company policies.
  • Coordinate external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
