Maintain recycling equipment with GFL Environmental as a Maintenance Mechanic in Winnipeg, working the stated 2:30-11:00pm shift.
This Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, equipment cleaning, and facility maintenance. The work includes conveyors, motors, bearings, electronics, and electronic motors. You will follow OEM maintenance schedules and document work using company-provided software.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily preventive maintenance on recycling sorting equipment
- Complete paperwork for maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Assist with large breakdown repairs and scheduled repairs
- Operate tools, machinery, lifts, and related equipment safely
- Maintain clean work areas and complete equipment cleaning
- Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment diagnostics
- Knowledge of conveyors, electronics, and electronic motors
- Basic welding and fabricating knowledge
- Ability to work at heights and operate scissor lifts
- Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize deadlines
