Flynn Group of Companies is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Winnipeg branch. The Project Manager is required to complete construction projects, safely and with quality (of work and service), to further Flynn’s reputation in the industry and have the ultimate goal of establishing long-term, repeat customers. They will be the conductor/conduit for all internal departments of Flynn.

They will be responsible for managing, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting on all financial aspects of a project and is the main point of contact with the client and is the care-taker of the project.

• Manage and maintain budgets
• Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors
• Engage in planning and executing work procedures; interpret specifications, coordinate various phases of construction to prevent delays and review change orders to ensure additional work is completed
• Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adheres to construction schedules
• Confer with employees, inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods
• Consult with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve issues

• 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager; general contracting and/or building envelope background preferred
• Education in a civil engineering/building science program or a related educational field is preferred
• Knowledge of curtain wall/glazing systems is required
• Proficiency in MS office package, including MS Project
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
