As the Barn Manager, you will oversee all aspects of horse training, care, and racing at Assiniboine Downs. A valid Trainer License and a minimum of five seasons working with thoroughbreds are required. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining horse health, managing team members, and coordinating with clients and veterinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee training and racing of thoroughbred horses
• Maintain financial and operational records
• Hire and supervise staff for barn operations
• Schedule and manage veterinary care
• Plan feeding and exercise programs for horses
Requirements:
• Valid Assistant Trainer or Trainer Licence for Manitoba
• Minimum of five seasons grooming racehorses
• Experience with horse health monitoring
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and public relations abilities
