Lead clinical care oversight with Extendicare as an Assistant Director of Care, advancing resident safety, quality improvement, and compassionate service.
Reporting to the Director of Care, this leader oversees assigned clinical areas within Extendicare’s model of care. The position collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, vendors, and community health partners. Its purpose is consistent resident-centered care, regulatory compliance, and best-practice implementation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage assigned programs according to Extendicare’s Model of Care
- Identify risks and coordinate appropriate mitigation strategies
- Monitor regulations, licensing, accreditation, and employment standards
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and oversee established goals
- Mentor team members through training, coaching, and feedback
- Industry and regulatory knowledge
- Program administration capability
- Customer service and priority management skills
- People management and collaboration capabilities
