Position: Shop Welder - TIG / Fabrication

TIG Welder / Fabricator - $22-$34/hr - NW Winnipeg

Are you a mechanically inclined individual who likes start-to-finish projects? Do you have 3-5 years of experience with stainless steel TIG welding? Are you interested in a position that involves fabricating custom-designed stainless steel appliances, working inside a well-ventilated shop?

If so, I'd love to hear from you! My client is a leading Canadian manufacturer specializing in custom stainless steel fabrication for the commercial food service industry. They are busier than ever and are looking for a few strong welders with TIG experience to fill out their production team!

Role: Permanent full‑time position

Environment: Shop, non‑union

Hours: Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (opportunity for OT)

Wage: $22 - $34 an hour (based on experience and certification)

Responsibilities
  • Getting materials
  • Compare drawings and fit designs with the materials labeled
  • Conduct the necessary welds (TIG welding thin gauge metal)
  • Test and inspect the item before passing to final shipping
Qualifications
  • Must have own basic hand tools (wrenches, pliers etc.,)
  • Must have own welding helmet
  • 2+ years TIG welding experience
  • Experience welding with stainless
  • Resident of Manitoba and able to legally work in Canada
