The Lead Hand supports the Production Supervisor by coordinating daily production activities, guiding team members, and ensuring operational goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality. This role plays a key part in fostering a collaborative work environment, supporting training, and driving continuous improvement within the department.

• Oversee and participate in daily production activities to meet established daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Lead, motivate, and support team members to ensure consistent performance and strong teamwork.
• Foster and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate workflow and communicate effectively with multiple internal departments.
• Assist the Production Supervisor with planning, delegating, and assigning tasks to team members.
• Support cross-training initiatives to build a flexible and skilled team.
• Participate in and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S and process optimization.
• Maintain and improve product quality through attention to detail, problem-solving, and adherence to standards.
• Support training, skill development, and performance assessment of team members.
• Utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Teams, and email for reporting and communication.
• Read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, engineering diagrams, and technical drawings.

• Previous leadership or lead hand experience is an asset.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering, and technical drawings.
