Job Summary
Reporting to the location’s Operations Manager, your focus will be to lead operations in our steel manufacturing facility ensuring that production goals are achieved without compromising safety, quality or efficiency. Our ideal candidate will champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Enforce all safety protocol, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks and risk assessments
Supervise and coordinate plant operations, including production, maintenance and quality control
Train and mentor team members on safe work practices and operational excellence
Monitor production schedules and allocate resources effectively
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency
Our Ideal Candidate will Have the Following Education / Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial production
A strong knowledge of steel production processes and safety standards, and proven ability to lead teams and foster a safety‑first culture
Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management systems
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
A diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field would be considered an asset
