Materials Planning Specialist

Position: New Flyer Materials Planning Specialist
Enhance production efficiency as a Materials Planner at New Flyer, focusing on material coordination and inventory management. Play a key role in promoting continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, you will be central to ensuring material requirements are forecasted and scheduled to meet production standards.

Your role will involve monitoring parts status, implementing engineering changes, and supporting the materials team in budget management. You will also promote lean manufacturing initiatives and maintain a safe work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate material planning to support production

• Monitor inventory and production parts status

• Ensure implementation of engineering changes

• Support the materials team to meet budget goals

• Facilitate lean 5S programs for efficiency

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required

• Solid knowledge of MRP systems and MS Office

• Self-driven with strong analytical skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• APICS certification is an asset
