Materials Planner

Position: Materials Planner at New Flyer
Join New Flyer as a Materials Planner and streamline production through effective materials management. Leverage your expertise in MRP systems to ensure timely processes and efficient resource allocation.

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, you'll coordinate all materials planning activities crucial for production efficiency. This role emphasizes inventory accuracy, MRP message execution, and engineering change order implementation. Contribute to team growth by developing training resources and promoting lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate planning within the materials department

• Process materials to POU based on requirement dates

• Monitor part statuses pre and during production

• Ensure inventory accuracy and management goals

• Release work orders and planned orders timely

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of MRP systems, MS Office, and Oracle

• Self-starter with initiative and analytical skills

• Proven time-management abilities

• APICS certification is a plus
