Position: Materials Planner )
Position Summary  Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, the Materials Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing all materials‑planning activities within the Materials Department. This role ensures that material requirements are accurately forecasted, efficiently scheduled, and aligned with production needs. The Materials Planner also contributes to continuous improvement by developing training resources, supporting team skill growth, and promoting ongoing education across the department.
What You Will Do   Coordinate planning activities within the materials department to support production requirements.
Process materials to POU location by requirement date.
Monitor and track part status prior to and during production build.
Ensure inventory accuracy and achieve inventory goals to reduce inventory adjustments.
Act on daily MRP messages.
Ensure all materials aspects of the MRB processes are followed.
Ensure accurate implementation of Engineering Change Orders for released/unreleased jobs.
Ensure work orders are released to manufacturing in a timely manner and release planned orders to release dates.
Assist the materials team and leadership in achieving the budget for materials, supplies, salary/indirect labor, overtime, and operational expenses.
Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing/5S programs for materials.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies, procedures, and processes.
Requirements   3‑5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of MRP systems, MS Office, Oracle and Excel.
Motivated self‑starter with a high level of initiative.
Proven interpersonal skills combined with strong time‑management and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
APICS certification or enrollment in the program is an asset.
