Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity across the beverage lines. This role plays a key part in setting up processes, equipment, and machinery, while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. They lead by example, demonstrating a positive, “can‑do” approach, and act as a coach to support the development and performance of their team. The Production Supervisor identifies opportunities to enhance workflows, implements improvements, and supports evolving business needs throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily production operations and beverage line activities to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets; review and ensure timely submission of all production records.
- Lead equipment setup, troubleshooting, and adjustments to meet critical production parameters (e.g., seams, dissolved oxygen, fill levels).
- Oversee oil mixing, blending, cellaring, and packaging processes, ensuring all procedures are executed and documented accurately.
- Maintain accurate tracking of production data, raw materials, inventory, and bin locations; enter required information into the ERP system.
- Organize, coordinate, and prioritize daily tasks to meet production goals while maintaining strong communication with employees and leadership.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, processes, quality and development of new team members.
- Manage personnel performance, including coaching, progressive discipline, performance documentation, staffing support, and time/attendance oversight (in consultation with the Manager).
- Champion safety, food safety, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
- Work collaboratively with department leaders to support broader business objectives and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership ability with demonstrated experience motivating, training, and developing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365.
- Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Minimum 4 years of practical previous experience in a beverages/canning line/brewery manufacturing production environment.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment is an asset.
- Flexible, detail-oriented, team-player and adaptable to a fast-paced production setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
