Team Member; General Labourer

Role Overview

The Team Member will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting and processing ferrous and/or non‑ferrous scrap metals and maintain the work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.

Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm

Every Saturday: 7:30 am to 11:30 am

• Interact with customers to accept ferrous and non‑ferrous scrap materials.
• Perform the inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non‑ferrous scrap metals.
• Use computer system to input non‑ferrous material codes and weight.
• Complete yard tickets and provide ticket to customer.
• Maintain the work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.
• Operate counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer in accordance with operation policies and procedures ensuring efficient material movement.
• Process materials by breaking them down by commodity and removing all non‑conforming material.
• Provide exceptional customer service.

• 1 year of experience working in a production, warehouse or landscaping environment.
• 1 year of experience operating forklift or skid‑steer (bob‑cat), preferred but not required.
