Systems Engineer, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer, Electrical Engineering
ZPI, the developer of the industry-leading Zarpac Performance Index (ZPI) manufacturing performance improvement software, is seeking an experienced Systems Integrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integration, commissioning, and support of our comprehensive software suite, both remotely and on‑site at client locations. This position is primarily based in‑office, with the flexibility to work from home up to three days per week.
Compensationand Benefits
Salary range: $65K – $75K per year. Total compensation includes your salary, comprehensive medical/dental programs, life insurance, a generous paid time off program, and a retirement savings plan with a company match. Advantages are effective from day one.

Responsibilities- Conduct audits on PLC & HMI code to extract and analyze relevant data.
- Establish and validate communications to various devices via OPC, including troubleshooting communication issues as needed.
- Perform on‑site integration and commissioning of the ZPI software suite.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting of the ZPI software, OPC configuration, and related software during and post‑installation.
- Coordinate and participate in customer calls to review project status, provide feedback, and address questions regarding installation requirements.
- Leverage expertise in the setup and utilization of the ZPI software suite to offer feedback and guidance on its installation to clients and fellow integrators.
- Utilize various interfaces to collect data points for updating and tracking information within the ZPI program.
- Guide end users on the effective use of our software based on previous experience, including highlighting line issues and interpreting results within the software.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or a three‑year college diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Controls, or similar.
- Experience in industrial automation, systems integration, or related field required.
- Proven experience with PLCs, including Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, and others.
- Familiarity with OPC DA and OPC UA, including the use and setup of Kepware, Ignition, or other OPC servers.
- Experience with the setup and use of manufacturing intelligence systems (OEE, MES, LEDS).
- Experience working in a packaging facility. Food & beverage preferred.
- Full driver’s license required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- Capable of working with minimal direction as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
This role requires approximately 30–50% travel, primarily to customer manufacturing facilities in the United States, with occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to meet cross‑border travel requirements as needed.
