Overview
Rubber Liner – Weir Minerals, Surrey, BC. Onsite, Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Purpose of role:
The Rubber Liner will carry out rubber lining processes according to standard safety procedures. They will be responsible for reading blueprints and drawings to ensure accuracy with laying, lining, and applying rubber on product.
- Prepare Product:
Prepare pipes and hoses for application of rubber lining by rolling or painting interior surfaces after the sandblasting operation has been completed. - Rubber Lining:
Apply rubber to interior surfaces by following instructions, drawings and sketches provided. - Oversee Autoclaves:
Operate and monitor the autoclave for the rubber curing process. Complete and maintain all records including autoclave logs, charts, material movements, and material consumptions to the jobs and provide reports as required. - Read Blueprint Drawings:
Use a layout table to lay out rubber components according to the specified drawings that dictate tolerances on blueprint drawings. - Material Handling:
Loading, unloading, and handling of material within the facility as required (mechanical and manual handling). - Safety:
Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of a world-class safety culture.
- Class 5 Power Engineering certificate required.
- Experience in a hands‑on, manual labor type role.
- Basic knowledge of hand and measuring tools.
- Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints.
Compensation: $33.51/hr

Employees will be hired on a temp‑to‑perm basis, meaning they are hired for a 6‑month contract and would be eligible for permanent employment after the 6‑month training/probationary period.
