Production Assistant; Metal Manufacturing Shop

The Production Assistant helps in various jobs throughout the shop. Duties include cleaning, organizing, maintenance and assisting in all production areas as assigned.

• Cleaning and tidying of the shop, including sweeping, garbage collection and disposal, etc.;
• Cleaning and maintenance of facility exterior such as windows and sidewalks;
• Cleaning and maintenance of back and front parking lot areas;
• General building maintenance including minor repairs and painting;
• Build pallets and crates for shipping;
• Assist in packaging product in preparation for shipment;
• Assist the laser department in removing parts;
• Assist the brake department lifting and bending parts;
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

• Can do attitude, willing to learn;
• Customer service focused with a positive attitude;
• Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Must be able to frequently move, push, pull, lift or carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs, must be in good physical condition.

Hours of Work: Full Time, Monday to Friday, Day time hours.

Hourly Wage: depending on qualifications and experience. Starting at $17/hour.
