Join the Orion Steel Group as a Skilled Millwright, responsible for the upkeep of essential mechanical systems in manufacturing. Your insights will direct effective repairs and maintenance practices in rotating shifts.
In this role, you will be vital to maintaining and restoring mechanical equipment, ensuring the efficiency of our production units. With your Red Seal Journeyman Certificate, you will take charge of inspections, repairs, and adjustments. Your ability to navigate scheduled and emergency repairs will be crucial in reducing downtime and optimizing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect equipment for mechanical defects
- Execute repairs and installations on site
- Make decisions on temporary and permanent fixes
- Collaborate with teams on emergency repairs
- Maintain gear, bearing, and shaft assemblies
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman Certificate
- Experience in an industrial setting preferred
- Availability for rotating shifts
- Successful pre-employment screening required
- Dedicated to quality and safety
