Industrial Electrician

Maple Leaf Food’s Maintenance team seeks an Industrial Electrician to maintain and serve equipment used in daily production of our products. You will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

Rate: $47.92/hour. Night shift (overnight) premium: $0.75/hour.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install processing equipment with knowledge of electrical systems.
• Program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Read and understand electrical power and control system wiring and schematics.
• Repair/maintain/mixed motor controls, temperature sensors, and safety sensors.
• Work with voltages ranging from 24 V to 575 V, 3‑phase.
• Read logic and flow diagrams.
• Carry out oral/printed work requests and apply corrective action.
• Perform regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program.
• Understand and adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Policies.

• Red Seal Certification.
• Own hand tools.
• Knowledge of plant and equipment operations.
• Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a team‑based environment.
• Ability to work overnight shift.
• Good mathematical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability for weekend overtime as production demands require.
