Expected Salary: $68,806 - $114,709

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

Responsibilities
  • Work on CL215/CL415 Water Bomber Aircraft and Commander 690’s.
  • Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair an aircraft’s mechanical or structural systems.
  • Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Mentor AME apprentices.
  • Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted.
  • Carefully observe all procedures, rules and regulations when performing any task.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with, and put to use, safety procedures and safe work practices.
  • Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for tasks/jobs.
  • Follow company tool control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and productive work area.
  • Work efficiently alone and as part of a team.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to the Safety & Health Policy Statement, Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual, and Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard, incident or accident.
  • Enter labor in the labor tracking system accurately for all tasks performed.
  • Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines.
Work Schedule

Oct 1 to April 1:
Monday to Friday dayshift. April 1 to Oct 1: 2 weeks away from base, 2 weeks off. The schedule does vary slightly depending on operational requirements.

Qualifications
  • A valid M1 and/or M2 AME license.
  • Experience with CL-215/CL-415 aircraft is an asset.
  • Experience with Garrett Turbine powered aircraft is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience working on Win Air or other similar maintenance programs.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good English, written and spoken.
  • Physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces.
