Yard Person; loader/forklift

We are currently looking for a Yard Person (Loader/Forklift) at our Bradley Steel Processors
- Winnipeg, MB facility.
Reporting to the location's Supervisor, your focus will be to perform a wide variety of shipping duties and material moving.
Our ideal candidate will be able to:- Work the following weekend shift with a starting hourly rate of $23.79:
- 13 hour shift: Friday
- Sunday - Days 7:00 am- 8:00 pm (paid 1 hour break which includes coffee breaks too)
- 13 hour shift: Friday
- Provide a criminal background check by uploading it in "attachment documents" when uploading resume or at time of interview
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with extremely hot materials while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Safely operate forklift equipment
- Operate Shunt truck to move trailers indoor and outdoor
- Load trucks as per shipping paperwork
- Load bundles on the truck safely and follow Company's safety rules
- Move scrap, dump scrap bins as needed
- May perform other duties as supervisor deems necessary
- Minimum 1-2 years of working experience as a forklift driver and have valid forklift license
- Ability to learn and drive Shunt truck
- Ability to read, write and follow schedules
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Physically capable of performing the role
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Can work with minimal supervision
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Frequent standing, bending, walking and stretching
- Physically demanding and able to lift light and heavy materials
- Mostly working outdoors; indoors as needed
