Job: CNC Operator
Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our machining team. The successful candidate will safely operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality precision components while maintaining our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Verify finished parts meet dimensional specifications.
- Identify and report non-conforming parts.
- Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Ensure machine centers, tooling, fixtures, and precision measuring equipment are maintained and in proper working condition.
- Fit and assemble machined metal components and subassemblies using hand and power tools as required.
- Accurately complete work package documentation to ensure product traceability.
- Perform routine daily inspections, care, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd.'s Lean Manufacturing program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safe work practices.
Shifts:
Monday to Thursday:
- Four 10-hour shifts.
- Day and Evening shifts available.
Shift:
- Friday to Sunday.
- Three 12-hour shifts.
- Minimum of two (2) years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education in machining or a related trade is considered an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
