We are currently looking for a Yard Person (Loader/Forklift) at our Bradley Steel Processors
- Winnipeg, MB facility.
Job summary:
Reporting to the location's Supervisor, your focus will be to perform a wide variety of shipping duties and material moving.
Our ideal candidate will be able to:
Work the following weekend shift with a starting hourly rate of $.:
hour shift: Friday
- Sunday Days : am- : pm (paid hour break which includes coffee breaks too)Provide us with a criminal background check by uploading it in "attachment documents" when uploading resume or at time of interviewWork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with extremely hot materials while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Primary duties and responsibilities:
Safely operate forklift equipmentOperate Shunt truck to move trailers indoor and outdoorLoad trucks as per shipping paperworkLoad bundles on the truck safely and follow Company's safety rulesMove scrap, dump scrap bins as neededMay perform other duties as supervisor deems necessaryEducation / experience requirements:
Minimum Grade diploma (or GED)Minimum - years of working experience as a forklift driver and have valid forklift licenseAbility to learn and drive Shunt truckAbility to read, write and follow schedulesGood written and verbal communication skillsPhysically capable of performing the roleAbility to work in a team environmentWorking Conditions:
Can work with minimal supervisionhour work weekFast-paced manufacturing environmentFrequent standing, bending, walking and stretchingPhysically demanding and able to lift light and heavy materialsMostly working outdoors; indoors as neededGerdau offers excellent benefits including:
