Yard Labourer & Metals Processing Assistant

Enhance your skills and experience as a full-time Yard Labourer at our vibrant metal recycling facility. This role is pivotal for organizing and processing scrap metals while delivering excellent customer service.

We are located approximately 20 km south of Whitehorse, and our team is looking for a proactive Yard Labourer. Your duties will include sorting metals, maintaining a clean yard, and providing assistance to customers and coworkers. A strong ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is essential, and training in metal handling will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and sort ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals

• Support customers during vehicle drop-off and inquiries

• Operate sorting machinery and tools safely

• Keep the recycling yard tidy and accessible

• Complete other assigned maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• Commitment to punctual attendance and strong work output

• Physical ability to lift materials frequently

• English language proficiency is required

• Must wear CSA approved steel-toed footwear

• Familiarity with Yukon recycling methods is a plus
