The LPN, under the Director of Resident Care, provides vital nursing services that align with professional and ethical standards. This role includes supervising Health Care Aides and fellow LPNs, ensuring quality care delivery, and adhering to policies set by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba. Experience in dementia care enhances team effectiveness and enriches resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care following established standards
• Supervise other nursing staff and aides
• Conduct assessments and maintain records accurately
• Engage in collaborative decision-making about residents' health needs
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
Requirements:
• Valid CLPNM licensure or eligibility
• Up-to-date BLS training
• Proficiency in nursing skills applicable to geriatric care
• Computer literacy for effective documentation
• Strong interpersonal and organization skills
