Position: Clinical Mentor for NICU Nursing

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Clinical Manager and Clinical Educators to support NICU nurses and enhance patient care. Your responsibilities will focus on providing timely clinical mentorship, facilitating smooth transitions into practice, and fostering a culture of learning and professional growth. You will serve as a role model, embodying excellence in nursing and ensuring competence among staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide just-in-time clinical mentorship on the unit

• Collaborate with nurse educators for ongoing guidance

• Support a smooth transition for nurses entering new areas

• Promote education and professional development for staff

• Foster positive interprofessional relationships and patient-centered care

Requirements:

• Minimum five years of NICU nursing experience

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Experience as a mentor or preceptor preferred

• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba

• Certification in Adult Education is an asset
