Part-Time Nurse Practitioner at NorWest Co-op

Join Nor West Co-op Community Health as a part-time Nurse Practitioner focusing on episodic care. Engage in community health promotion within the Inkster/Seven Oaks area while utilizing advanced nursing skills.

In this permanent position, functioning within an interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner will provide critical care and health prevention services at the Walk-In Connected Care Clinic. Candidates must possess a Master of Nursing and at least five years of clinical experience, focusing on primary care. You will apply your medical expertise, assess diagnostic tests, and actively participate in nurturing patient health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests autonomously

• Prescribe medications and perform minor procedures

• Teach and guide healthcare staff and patients

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Evaluate and plan complex patient care strategies

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years recent clinical nursing experience

• Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Stream required

• Active RN Registration with CRNM

• Current CPR certification

• Competence in use of Accuro preferred
