Registered Nurse Pediatric ICU

Position: Registered Nurse for Pediatric ICU
Join a dedicated team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse and provide critical care to children. In this role, you will coordinate patient care within fast-paced, technologically advanced environments.

This position requires you to be a part of a multi-professional healthcare team, where you’ll evaluate and deliver nursing care to pediatric patients. As a PICU nurse, you’ll gain hands-on experience in both Level 3 and Level 2 care settings, with future opportunities to join the Pediatric Critical Care Response Team and Transport Team after accrual of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and evaluate pediatric patient care in the PICU

• Provide medical and surgical intensive care to children

• Participate in collaborative care in a multi-qualified team

• Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives

• Support critical decision-making in high-stress environments

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse certification in Ontario

• Current BCLS and PALS certification

• Minimum two years of pediatric nursing experience

• Familiarity with pediatric growth and development

• Ability to thrive in rapidly changing situations
