Pediatric Oncology Nurse Navigator Position

Drive patient-centered solutions as a Nurse Navigator for Pediatric Oncology at Kingston General Hospital. This casual role supports pediatric patients through effective care coordination and advocacy.
The Nurse Navigator will work closely with oncologists and nursing staff to deliver high-quality care in our pediatric oncology department. With a focus on team-oriented care, you will initiate assessments and treatment plans, while ensuring adherence to oncology best practices. Your expertise will be crucial in managing logistics and fostering staff development to enhance service quality.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate to enhance patient care delivery
- Initiate inter-qualified assessments and treatment plans
- Ensure adherence to oncology best practices
- Manage supply and equipment logistics for clinics
- Support staff in skill development and learning needs
- Must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
- CPHON certification required or in progress
- Preference for candidates with oncology nursing experience
- Excellent telephone nursing practice skills
Contribute to impactful pediatric oncology care at Kingston General Hospital through advocacy and coordination.
