Registered Nurse, Teletriage – Health Link

The Health Link Team invites an energetic, passionate, and experienced Registered Nurse to provide telephone triage services, offering health advice and information to callers across Alberta.

• Provide telephone triage services, evaluating, triaging and counseling patients with diverse concerns.
• Deliver sound nursing processes, using critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
• Teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and families.
• Play a leadership role in supporting an integrated, holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.
• Work in a high‑call‑volume contact center, demonstrating stress tolerance, computer database proficiency and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program and active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA); current BCLS‑HCP.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of recent experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting, including experience in diverse clinical areas that require advanced assessment skills.
• Experience with a variety of computer databases and intermediate computer skills.
• Strong critical thinking and probing skills to extract pertinent information, and ability to handle stress.
• Completion of CRNA Medication Management – Chapters 1–4 and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification if not practiced as a registered nurse within the last five years.

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
• Experience interacting with clients over the telephone.

• Shift pattern:
  Days, evenings, weekends; hours per shift 7.75; shift length 12 weeks; 29 shifts per cycle.
• Salary range: $44.56 – $60.98 per hour.
