Burnaby Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for its Oncology team. This is a Relief Full Time position where you will assess, plan, and administer care to oncology patients while collaborating with an interprofessional team. Your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and well-being, ensuring exceptional care is delivered at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients' conditions using observation and communication
• Administer oral and intravenous chemotherapy treatments
• Collaborate with families to develop and modify care plans
• Coordinate nursing care and delegate tasks to support staff
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• Current registration with BCCNM
• BC Cancer Agency Chemotherapy Certification required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to empathize
• Proficiency in intravenous therapy initiation and maintenance
